The world of mobile phone technology has soaring waves of Android Nougat 7.0 these days and everyone wants to know which smartphone is likely to receive Android 7.0 Nougat. The good news is that the wait is finally over now as the T-Mobile has revealed the secret and released the listing of Samsung and HTC devices that are going to avail the best of the operating system from Android 7.0 Nougat in coming time.
Google produced some Nexus devices in association with other OEMs. The Nexus series is typically the first one to slate to receive the latest operating system while Android 7.0 Nougat had already started rolling out earlier on Monday to decide on Nexus devices. While the Non-Nexus devices usually have to hang around for no less than a few months before they can get the treat, its carrier versions devices have to wait even longer. This is because the update needs to undergo methodical testing before they are pushed out. However, T-Mobile says they want their customers to know that several smartphones on their network will also be upgraded with the Nougat in the future.
The current list paves seven models of Samsung smartphones and two HTC mobiles. In addition, T-Mobile has further broken down the update process in three levels: Manufacturer Development, T-Mobile Testing and Completed.
The Samsung smartphones that will get Android 7.0 Nougat at in coming time include the following models:
- Samsung Galaxy S6
- Samsung S6 edge
- Samsung S6 edge+
- Samsung Galaxy S7
- Samsung S7 edge
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5
- Samsung Galaxy Note 7
And the selected handsets from the house of HTC to receive the latest OS are:
- HTC M9
- HTC 10
At this point of time, the selected smartphone models are at the first phase of the process which is known as the Manufacturer Development Phase. It indicates that the update will take some time to go toward Carrier Testing and finally will go to the last stage of ‘Completed’. Unfortunately T-Mobile hasn’t commented or given an idea of when Nougat is likely to be set to available on selected handsets.
Nevertheless, Tech analysts claim the list shared by T-Mobile is not a final version and the company will certainly have to add more handsets soon to the list. They believe the LG G5 and LGV10 are some mobiles with maximum chances to get the OS. T-Mobile with its collaborator the OEM have mutually agreed to set up the update to some of the Samsung and HTC mobile models , however, they haven’t yet started testing the update and need to see how the operating system fares. The aforesaid explanation is released by the company to define what the Manufacturer Development stage is all about. According to T-Mobile, they believe with any update, a thorough testing is required to make sure potential issues are addressed before the update is rolled out.
Nobody knows when exactly Android 7.0 Nougat is going to hit the aforementioned devices on the list of T-Mobile so the situation at the moment is like ‘wait and watch’.
